Jeff Garrant has amassed a truly unique and differentiating array of experience, exposure, knowledge, perspective, and relationships within the sports industry.
Prior to launching Potassium Sports, Jeff had stints with professional sports teams, a player’s union, and within sports journalism before playing significant roles building and leading revolutionary sports marketing divisions – offering full-service capabilities across sponsorships and media – at three of the World’s largest marketing holding companies.
The experience piloting and developing trailblazing offerings servicing brands of all sizes and maturity with strategic data-led ideation, planning, negotiation, activation, and measurement across media, leagues, teams, events, talent, content, experiential, and other disciplines, has empowered Jeff with a very rare and distinctive breadth and depth of marketplace insight and know-how.
Jeff spent six-plus years as SVP and U.S Market Lead at Publicis Sport + Entertainment, where he solely revamped the functionality of an unrefined offering and assembled a hand-picked team trained to deliver data-led partnership marketing, media strategy, and sponsorship measurement services to 30+ clients including Anheuser-Busch, Best Buy, Chick-fil-A, Discover, Inspire Brands, Stellantis, Samsung, Toyota, and Visa. Under Jeff’s leadership, the group delivered 300% growth and was twice recognized by Front Office Sports as one of the “Best Places to Work in Sports.”
Jeff also worked as VP/Director at WPP’s GroupM ESP leading marketing programs for clients including Church + Dwight, Discover, Regions Bank, Unilever, UPS, and others, and he served as Director of Client Services at Omnicom Media Group’s Optimum Sports where he helped lay the foundation for the original and still industry-leading integrated sports strategy and media buying consultancy. Jeff’s clients included Bank of America, Gatorade, Hershey, Lowe’s, Nissan, PepsiCo, and State Farm.
Jeff has earned a Masters of Sports Business Degree from New York University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester where he lettered in baseball.
